Lita Lita Kos As a women’s health nurse practitioner, Lita was most impressed by pole dancing’s effect on women’s self-esteem and self-confidence, including her own. She credits pole dancing for helping her to embrace and overcome challenges inside and outside the studio. Lita started as a student around 2010 and eventually became a certified instructor at Aradia Fitness Cary in 12/2012. She teaches various pole fitness and stretching classes. Not coming from a dance or gymnastics background, Lita identifies with the same struggles that her students have with tricks. She truly enjoys breaking things down and finding the crucial (sometimes minute) details that unlock a move to make it achievable. Lita wants her students to leave class feeling challenged but accomplished. Her favorite classes to teach (and take) currently are freestyle dance because they feel more like therapy than class — the kind of class where you get out of your head, learn to let go and find your own movement. Just as much as Lita adores teaching, she also loves being a student – soaking in as much as she can from as many people and styles as possible help her to grow as a poler, dancer, mover, and person.
